Kumihimo

Kumihimo Jewels
Kumihimo is the art of Japanese braiding. Each piece of jewelry is designed and created with 8 strands of threads or fibers and braided in a specific pattern. Each bracelet or necklace is created with beads or crystal to  make unique pieces of jewelry. Each bracelet has about 350 beads or crystals and each necklace has about 800 beads or crystals .

I designed this necklace with approx. 900 tiny glass beads in  2 different shades of aquamarine.  I have added a ceramic and silver center bead that can slide off and on to give you a necklace with 2 different looks. This necklace is 16 inch long with a 1 1/2" inch SS extention.  I finished this necklace with sterling silver ends, clasp and extentions.

Blue Aqua is a limited edition kumihimo bracelet.  A one of a kind hand crafted focal bead in shades of  blues & aqua with swirls and dots is the center of attention. Approxamately 350 seed beads in shades of aqua and blue are woven in the traditional japanese kumihimo pattern to give this focal bead a place to shine. This bracelet is finished with a sterling silver toggle clasp. This bracelet is 71/2 long and will fit an average wrist.
